When Theater of thé Oppressed Contribute for climate change in a conflict Region

Rutshuru East of the Démocratic Republic of the Congo, a territory of hot disputes ,Wars, Conflict over Land.Power and ressources are widerspread a territory of 5289 km2, 2400km2 of Forest ,600km2 of plantations and farms,2289km2 résidentiel area and arable of the population .A region which countinous to attract tourist especially in his beautifull Virunga National Park.

However this Mondial patrimonial sourrounding Rutshuru still in insecurity and more than 10 militia and army group control a large part of the environnement protected areas plugging the population in all kind of vulnerability.

The human activities countinous to destroy the environnement in this Conflict Region and these activities are the consequences of a insecurity which affected lives of the settlers.Poaching, illegal fishing and making Charcoals in lumber are the rebellions and Militia mains activities, sometimes they forces innocents people for thèse illegal activities.

Zacharias a farmer from Kiwanja explained that:Charcoals from thé Park are resistant compared to other trees and they are expensive AT thé market,thé rebels allows us to cut down thé trees,secure us against Park Rangers then we Pay them taxe.

Kavira a fishmonger from Nyamilima village told us during our performances that thé "Kitoli"( a swahili word as we de use to call a Pupa sourrounding thé Édouard Lakes in Virunga National Park)are the cheapest,they help feed family of Many... Mai Mai Militia group sell them at a cheaper Price.

Some years ago more Park rangers originate from Rutshuru died in ambush and wars trying to defends thé environnement,among them Augustin Kulondwa our Theater of thé Oppressed Actors,May his soul rest in peace.They were killings by militia composed by young people from Rutshuru "Youth from Rutshuru kill each other" for this de have a reason to add thé Conflict cause of thé people farms and Park limites.

In this circumstances,Amani Kwetu International Theater of thé Oppressed composed by youth from differents tribes Hutu ,Nande,Hunde and Tutsi , différents religions group among them formers militia and Wars veterans now actors for peace and change,conviced that thé t.o Can affect and change lives of Many people are still working so hard for Environment throught Theater of the Oppressed while contributions for thé Dévelopment of this Conflict Region Rutshuru.our performances in first try to exposé thé problem faced to thé community while briging all people AT all lvels together ,to discover thé self and thé other while weakening préjudices and stereotyps to provide éducation , legality,natural ressources and judicial support arround thé community right,humans right and human bring .

Secondly to allow spectactors to act their own life and finaly people bring solution to all environmental and peace problems faced in this volatile Region if nothing is not done.
